Gordon C. McCauley has served as President and CEO of adMare BioInnovations since 2016, following four years on its Board of Directors. He brings extensive leadership experience spanning executive roles in biotechnology, venture capital, and public policy, having also served as a senior advisor to Canadian political leaders.
Currently, Gordon chairs CGEn, Canada’s national genomics platform, and sits as an independent director with Forus Therapeutics and Montreal InVivo. He also co-chairs the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Life Science Council and contributes to the Public Policy Forum’s Life Sciences Leadership Table.
His past leadership includes chairing BIOTECanada, LifeSciences BC, Acetech, and the Toronto Rehab Foundation. He was the first Canadian appointed to the Board of BIO in Washington, D.C., serving until 2013. Gordon earned a BA from McMaster University, an MBA with honours from IMD in Switzerland, and the ICD.D designation from Rotman. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in management at Grenoble École de Management.
